Today is Wednesday;
we had our digital sketch down. I think
our project looks not bad. I do agree
that for the third ad, we do need a new idea to replace it. The hand on this image is not meeting our
sell points. It doesn't relate to “awesome”,
and people cannot tell the wireless feature of our product. Also, the images are too dark, I think we may
need a better printer for our final print out.

After Monday's Class
After a
meeting at last Saturday, my group just finished 40 new sketches. We rethink
the sell points for our products. The
new sell point or clearer sell point is “the awesome wireless xbox speed wheel”. We want to show people the joyful playing
experiences that create by our product. Also,
as we discussed before in class, we carefully choose our model. A guy, who is about 24 years old and looks
nerdy. The final three ideas that we
choose for our project are those ideas that could identify our sell points,
which are fine and wireless.
Below are some ads that I think is
very interesting. Those ads are about
perrier drink. I could tell the sell
point in this set ads are cold and refresh.
In the ad, objects are melting down except perrier water. This ad really create cold and refresh
feeling for this product by compare this product to those melting down
objects.

Yesterday, I shared my
understanding about strategy in advertising development. Today, I am going to post some examples and
try to explain their strategy. The product
in this ad is tool box. From our comment
understanding, constriction tools are lead our mind to the mess up and dirty
pictures. However, in this ad, the feeling
of this picture is very clean and elegant.
Therefore, I know the selling point for this product is its organized
ability.Therefore, the strategy for this ad is to target people who are trying
to get things organized, and release themselves from mess working environment. So, the mood for this ad is very elegant and
clean.

At Wednesday’s class, I learned a very important method
or the strategy in advertising development.
First, a designer has to learn everything about the product. In this project, our group is promoting the
xbox speed wheel. I never see this
product before, and I am not a video player.
However, I did research about this product, and try to find out the unique
features about this product. I learned
that this product is 100% wireless and a lot cheaper than other products. Therefore, our group got the selling points,
which are cheap price and great gaming experiences.
The next step is to find out who are our audiences. It is very clear. Our audiences are mostly male from 15-27
years old. Most of them are from high
school and college. From here, we can
choose the publication for our ads.
After gather information about our product and audiences,
we could develop the mood of feeling of our ad.
For our group, we decided to choose humour as the mood of our ad.
So far, that is my understanding about strategy in advertising.

A very interesting way for fashion ad. I went to the event last Thursday. Michael Gross pointed out two very important thing from his experiences. One thing is as a designer, we should take risk. The second thing is that whatever you design is, there should be some message behind it, not just some beautiful images.
